The City of Johannesburg is pleased to announce that Rea Vaya will be providing services including Park and Rides to soccer fans attending the South Africa vs Brazil match on Wednesday the 5th March 2014.
Rea Vaya buses T1 from Thokoza Park (Soweto) to FNB Stadium will be supported by feeder routes F1 (Naledi) and F2 (Protea Glen) to Thokoza Park as well as complimentary C1 from Dobsonville to connect T1 at Orlando Stadium.
Fans from the Inner-City can use T1 from Ellispark to FNB Stadium. Yeoville F11 buses will connect at Joburg Theatre station where fans can use either T1 or T2 to the stadium. T3 may be used and fans will connect T1 from Thokoza Park at the Orlando Stadium station to FNB Stadium.
Fans using T3 buses that travel from Library Gardens through Milpark, UJ Kingsway, Westbury and Noordgesig will connect T1 at the Orlando Stadium station to FNB Stadium.
Buses will be operating at 5 minutes frequency from 15h00 until 19h00 (Kick off time). The service will run 3 minutes frequency after the soccer match until 23h00 to transport fans from FNB Stadium to Thokoza Park, Protea Glen, Naledi, Dobsonville (Soweto), Ellispark, Bosmont, Westbury, Auckland Park, Inner-City, Parktown and Yeoville.
Fans who are smart card holders will pay normal fares based on the distance travelled from their initial point to the FNB Stadium. Â Other fans will be able to purchase a single trip card for R13.00 and R25.00 for double trip card (return).
