The Soweto Derby isn’t a great game without the soccer loving fans. Metrorail, a service of PRASA Rail, will provide a special train service to the 2014 Carling Black Label Cup game between two Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates. The game is scheduled for Saturday, 26 July 2014, at Soccer City with the kick off time at 15:30.

Metrorail is ready to provide a reliable, safe and hassle free transportation for as little as R20.00 per person return with free safe parking at the identified stations, hassle free of traffic jams and parking worries associated with such big events. Train tickets can be purchased at all Metrorail stations.

Fans are encouraged to travel by train using Metrorail’s safe and convenient Park ʼn Rail facilities at stopping stations. 8 trains will provide services on that day from: Vereeniging, Leralla, Springs, Mabopane, De Wildt and Pienaarspoort to Nasrec Station which is a five minute walk to the stadium. The 2 trains from Pretoria and Springs will traverse via Johannesburg Park station.

SAULSVILLE « PRETORIA: Train 5506 Departing from Saulsville 12:10, Atteridgeville 12:12, Kalafong 12:14 arriving in Pretoria at 12:32. Departure after game from Pretoria – Train no 5509 at 20:20, arriving in Saulsville at 20:42.

DEWILT « PRETORIA NORTH: Train 5518 Departing from De Wilt 11:50, Talliardshoop 11:53, Ga-Rankuwa 11:55, Medunsa 11:58, Lynross 12:04 arriving in Pretoria North at 12:15. Departure after game from Pretoria North – Train no 5519 at 20:40, arriving in De Wilt at 21:05.

MABOPANE « NASREC: Train 5510, departing from Mabopane 12:00, Soshanguve 12:03, Kopanong 12:08, Pretoria North 12:24, Pretoria 12:47, Centurion 12:59 Oakmoor 13:13, Rhodesfield 13:30, Germiston 13:47, Johannesburg 14:09, arriving in Nasrec at 14:39. Departure after game from Nasrec – Train no 5511 at 18:15, arriving in Pretoria at 20:47.

PIENAARSPOORT « NASREC: Train 5502, departing from Pienaarspoort 12:05, Mamelodi Gardens 12:13, Eerste Fabrieke 12:17, Denneboom 12:20, Eersterust 12:24, Pretoria 12:41, Johannesburg 13:51 arriving in Nasrec at 14:21. Departure after game from Nasrec – Train no 5503 at 18:20, arriving in Pienaarspoort at 20:46.

LERALLA « NASREC: Train 2220, departing from Leralla at 12:55, Tembisa 13:01, Kaalfontein 13:06, Kempton Park 13:17, Rhodesfield 13:19, Germiston 13:41, Johannesburg 14:03 arriving in Nasrec at 14:33. Departure after game from Nasrec, Train no 2221 at 18:25 arriving in Leralla at 19:57.

VEREENIGING « NASREC: Train 2211, departing from Vereeniging at 13:00, Residensia 13:37, Stretford 13:44, Lenz 14:04, Midway 14:09, Kliptown 14:16, Nancefield 14:20, Orlando 14:23, New Canada 14:28 arriving in Nasrec at 14:50. Departure after game from Nasrec Train no 2214 at 18:10, arriving in Vereeniging at 19:59.

SPRINGS « NASREC: Train 2232 departing from Springs at 12:25 to Brakpan 12:37, Benoni 12:47, Dunswart 12:50, Germiston 13:08, Johannesburg 13:31 arriving in Nasrec at 14:01. Departure after game from Nasrec Train no 2233 at 18:35, arriving in Springs at 20:11.

Shuttle service from Johannesburg Park Station to Nasrec Station
There will be two (2) dedicated train sets shuttling between Johannesburg Park and Nasrec Stations. First shuttle train 2256 will depart at 13:10 and the second 2252 at 14:40 to Nasrec Station. After the game, all shuttle trains will depart from Nasrec at 18:00 and 18:45 back to Park Station.

Commuters are advised to follow and observe the set train travel times for convenience by arriving early at the station – 30 minutes prior to departure. No trains will be provided outside the set times.
