Kaizer Chiefs will be returning home as they resume their Absa Premiership campaign against University of Pretoria at FNB Stadium on Wednesday (Kick Off: 7.30pm).

Tickets are selling at R40 for adults and R10 for juveniles for the game taking place on Heritage Day eve with hospitality packages available across all Computicket outlets.

Amakhosi have a 100% record this season at the iconic Nasrec-based venue winning their only league fixture there – 4-0 against Free State Stars on 22 August – while also winning two cup fixtures en route to the MTN8 final. Despite this, Chiefs coach Steve Komphela went on to send a warning against AmaTuks, who despite being second from bottom, are capable of producing the goods against third-placed Chiefs.

“Every side we play wants to beat us. We are the hunted. I have respect for AmaTuks and their coach Sammy Troughton. They are the sort of team that can hurt you,” Komphela said.

The former Bafana Bafana captain called on Chiefs faithful to rally behind him and his charges at FNB Stadium coming from a 1-0 defeat to Ajax Cape Town in the Cup final on the weekend.

“It was a setback because we lost when it mattered most. A setback is a setback but what is more important is the comeback,” Komphela said. “All we have to do is to regroup. Let us forget about this one match and focus on the tasks that will take us forward. We’re scoring a lot of goals and have four top strikers, but defensively we have conceded too many.”
