History beckons for the Buccaneers, who stand a chance of becoming the only South African team to have lifted two continental club titles having won the 1995 CAF Champions League.
The objective for Eric Tinkler’s side is to ensure that they carry good advantage in this first leg played at the historical Soweto venue managed by Stadium Management SA, to the return leg that will be played in Tunisia two weeks later.
Étoile, popularly referred to as the Red Devils, won this competition back in 2006, and are the first club to have won all African recognised club tournaments having also lifted the CAF Champions League, the CAF Cup Winner’s Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
