Sanibonani. Dumelang.

As we embark on the second quarter of 2016 and the start of winter, we are proud to report back a good start to the year with plenty of events that have taken place at the four venues managed by Stadium Management SA.

In the first three months of the year, FNB Stadium hosted two further Soweto Derby fixtures (the Absa Premiership match on 30 January and the Nedbank Cup fixture on 7 March) which brought a total of five matches and over 375,000 patrons coming to watch Orlando Pirates playing Kaizer Chiefs at this venue in this 2015/16 Premier Soccer League football season! Many thanks to you.

We also hosted successful events over the Easter Weekend with the Revelation Church of God and Grace Bible Church, who continue being inspirational partners of ours as our relationship continues to grow.

With this being year of local elections in South Africa, our venues have been utilised by the Economic Freedom Front (Orlando Stadium) and the Democratic Alliance (Rand Stadium) for their manifesto launches that were well attended and both staged in April.

What more is in store? We can warm you up with some music and DJ Tokzen’s much talked about CD launch at FNB Stadium on 14 May where he will have some local acts as part of the bill on the night. Local music acts are tired of playing second string to international acts and we are providing that platform for them. Be on a look out for other events in the pipeline that will be confirmed in due time…we know that you will not be disappointed.

Your favourite Carling Black Label Cup is also back and confirmed for 30 July at FNB Stadium to kick start the 2016/17 Premier Soccer League season when the two Soweto giants – Pirates and Chiefs – lock horns again. Last year, it was a record 94, 807 in attendance who enjoyed the festivities. This year promises to be just as big. A new campaign. New players being unveiled. We will see you then.

With this said, our hard working staff will be taking a deserved break during this period after working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that you get to enjoy the final product. It doesn’t mean that you can stop interacting with us and giving us feedback as we continue raising the bar. Please feel free to reach:

Until we speak again.

Totsiens. Goodbye.
