HIP Hop star Cassper Nyovest leads a star bill where he is the main act of his self-coined Cassper Nyovest: Fill Up Orlando Stadium concert to be held at the historic venue on Saturday, 29 October.
Gates open at 15:00 pm with the rap heavy event set to culminate at midnight where Cassper Nyovest and his Family Tree Media imprint are also set to have a surprise international star act performing on the balmy night.
General public tickets are still available across all Computicket, Shoprite/Checkers retail outlets, including Golden Circle (R450), Unreserved Standing (R350) and Unreserved Seating (R300).
There are hospitality suite packages made available with Premium Packages costing R2 900 excl. VAT p/p and a Mayoral Package (R1 600 excl. at p/p) that can also be purchased through SAIL on bookings@sail.co.za.
Other acts on board include Emtee, Major League DJs, Babes Wodumo, Nasty C and a range of well-known and upcoming South African rap talents.
When Cassper officially launched the event with an equally explosive press conference at the same venue in early October, the Doc Shebeleza and Phuma Kimi hitmaker said: “More than anything with this concert, to me, I want to inspire other kids out there to know that dreams can come true if you believe in them.”
Cassper, 25, on the back of award-winning platinum success with his two albums Refiloe and Tsholofelo, has been receiving rave reviews and prominent attention since announcing his plans to perform at the historic Soweto venue.
The Stadium Management SA-managed Orlando Stadium has also hosted a number of high profile events that include the 2010 Fifa World Cup Opening Ceremony music concert, the 2010 SuperRugby semifinal and final featuring the Blue Bulls, the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup final as well as recent highly attended political rallies ahead of the 2016 local government elections in South Africa.
With high interest on the concert, patrons are requested to pay attention to safety and security messages that are also available on www.stadiummanagement.co.za.
The fans are also warned of another event – the Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs football clash – taking place at FNB Stadium which is in close proximity and requested to purchase their tickets early.
The venue reserves right to entry and will not be permitted to enter if deemed to be intoxicated by security personnel and law enforcement; while items that include dangerous weapons, knives, cooler boxes will not be permitted to enter the venue at the search points.
