SPRING heading to summer will be a busy period at the Stadium Management SA managed venues.
First off, it will be football action as Kaizer Chiefs lock horns with Maritzburg United at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 22 October (8.15pm kick off) while Orlando Pirates take on Golden Arrows at Orlando Styadium on Sunday, 23 October (3pm) in the Telkom Knockout Last 32 clashes. Stand tickets are available across Ticketpro retail outlets costing R60, with hospitality packages also available.
Banyana Banyana (the SA National Women’s Team) wind down their African Women’s Championship preparations with a friendly international against Egypt at Dobsonville Stadium, also on Saturday 22 October (3pm), with entrance free of charge.
Then it is back to the Calabash for the titanic battle between two traditional rivals in the biggest sporting showpiece in the southern hemisphere when Orlando Pirates face Kaizer Chiefs in the highly anticipated Absa Premiership Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 29 October (3.30pm).

The much talked about Cassper Nyovest music concert will also take place on the same day – 29 October – as the internationally recognised award winning hip hop star Fills Up Orlando Stadium as the main act in a star-studded bill that includes a surprise international performing artist.
As we head into summer, some of the country’s top runners will be breaking a sweat as they attempt to be the King of the Road in the Old Mutual Soweto Marathon on 6 November, with Jozi’s most prestigious race finishing off at the picturesque FNB Stadium for the first time.
The country’s most loved sporting venue will also be host to Angus Buchan’s Sacred Assembly gathering on 19 November.
