Sanibonani. Dumelang.

As the weather warms up to mark Spring, it is with great pleasure that I write for you my third feedback of 2016.

This seasonal change also carries good tidings and plenty to be proud of as I announce that Stadium Management South Africa has been honoured with another achievement and an International Quality Crown Award (Gold Category) in the Business Initiative Directions (BID) Corporate Awards in London, England on the weekend of 19 and 20 November 2016.

Stadium Management South Africa is the third South African company to be presented with this accomplishment and follows in the footsteps of two other Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed companies.

For this, we thank President of BID Group One, Jose E. Prieto, for recognising a team that has always aimed at ensuring quality each time and a proudly South African company that continues flying the country’s flag high.

I will also use this moment to thank some of our key stakeholders and inspirations in the City of Johannesburg, Mr. Kaizer Motaung (Kaizer Chiefs Executive Chairman), Dr. Irvin Khoza (Orlando Pirates Chairman), the Premier Soccer League, SAIL, and all of our respective and dedicated clients that have kept their trust in us. More importantly, it the South African public (and indeed our visitors from other parts of the world) that have given us continued support when they enter at four of the venues we manage and great country attractions in FNB, Orlando, Rand and Dobsonville Stadiums.

To borrow a quote from iconic inventor, Steve Jobs: “…Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you will know when to find it.”

With this, I can safely say that our work is not done just yet. We will not rest on our laurels as Stadium Management South Africa carries on in aiming high as I thank each individual staff for their dedication, drive and passion in the overall objective; and our commitment to providing opportunities and making a positive impact on the lives of surrounding communities.

In this quarter we are deep in preparation for yet another Soweto Derby (Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs) clash at FNB Stadium while renowned local hip hop star, Cassper Nyovest, holds his music concert at Orlando Stadium – both on Saturday, 29 October, that both promise to be great spectacles.

Remain being glued to our communication channels that are continuously growing each month with plenty of your views and for what will be in store this Summer.

Please also feel free to reach: enquiries@stadiummanagement.co.za.

Until we speak again.

Totsiens. Goodbye.
