10Â April 2017
Orlando Stadium will host the Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United fixture as the Absa Premiership campaign resumes on Tuesday, 11 April. Gates open at 5.30pm with Kick Off at 7.30pm.
Ticket costs R40 each (R10 for children under-12) at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers retail outlets with no tickets sold at the venue. Top6 Taxis public transportation (contact Kgomo 072Â 821 6243) will also be available to ferry fans from the venue.
With the 2016/17 Premier Soccer League season winding down – and four more home fixtures for Bucs remaining at the Stadium Management SA-managed facility – Bucs are fighting to get to the top half of the league standings after an indifferent crusade.
However, coach Kjell Janovret’s charges come off a motivating 4-1 Nedbank Cup victory over Free State Stars from the weekend where they looked a rejuvenated outfit after a string of lacklustre performance.
Maritzburg are a gritty unit and did beat Pirates 2-1 in their previous league meeting at the legendary Soweto venue last season.
With security measures tight – patrons are warned against purchasing fake tickets which can lead to prosecution. The no ticket, no entry rule will apply at the entry points.
Patrons are also prohibited from bringing dangerous items like guns, knives and sharp-pointed objects to the precinct with additional safety and security messages as well as FAQS available on www.stadiummanagement.co.za.
