Spinning-a sport where participants drive their cars at high speed and make them drift in patterns is commonly known as a men’s sport especially in the location.
Soweto Drift Academy is on a quest to empower women through a spinning programme called Spina LeBeema Gal.
It will be launched at FNB Stadium on Women’s Day.
The initiative is aimed at training women mechanics, advanced driving, road safety and how to professionally spin cars.
