Stadium Management SA (SMSA) has received two prestigious awards from The World Confederation of Businesses in Houston, Texas. The awards, World Business Leader awarded to SMSA and World Leader Businessperson awarded to Dr. Jacques Grobbelaar, the CEO of SMSA.
SMSA is South Africa’s leading stadium management group managing four flagship stadiums in the Metropolitan of Johannesburg, namely the iconic FNB, historic Orlando, Dobsonville and Rand Stadia. These government-owned venues are privately and independently administered by SMSA on a full financial risk basis with the significance of this being that, SMSA does not receive any management fee, subsidy or grant. This means that SMSA independently funds the commercial business of these multi-purpose, adaptable venues capable of hosting world-class events in the sports and entertainment industries, as well as conferences and political rallies.
As the leading stadium management group in South Africa, SMSA is honoured to receive these awards in recognition of excellent business practice. The awards serve as further inspiration to continue the growth and development of SMSA.
Stadium Management SA’s CEO, Dr. Jacques Grobbelaar, “We are grateful for the recognition we have received with these awards and we strive to uphold the high standards we set for ourselves. The World Confederation of Businesses confers these awards for innovative and knowledgeable work.
