The Dobsonville Stadium is a multi-purpose venue and is the home of 2012 MTN8 champions and 2011/2012 South African Premier Soccer League runners-up, Moroka Swallows.

This venue is primarily used for football matches; including fixtures played by the 2012 London Olympic Games participants Banyana Banyana (the South African national women’s team) while also hosting a historic first Bafana Bafana (South African national men’s team) international when they played an African Nations Championship qualifying fixture here in  2015.

Having been originally built in 1975, it underwent refurbishments to the tune of R69 million that have ensured that it can now accommodate a capacity of 17,700 people and is fully equipped with an athletics track. Dobsonville Stadium was utilised as one of training fields for the 2010 FIFA World Cup ™.
